Coruña del Conde is a small village in the province of Burgos surrounded by heritage dating back to the Celtibers, the Romans and El Cid Campeador, and within this, a rich wine making tradition has remained intact.

The vitality these lands historically enjoyed is clearly visible in the large artistic heritage scattered over its surroundings; from the ruins of the Roman city of Clunia Sulpica, raised over an spectacular high flat plain or “meseta”; to the Roman bridges that cross its rivers, its Romanesque church dating back to the XII century, its country chappel from the XI century, or the medieoeval castle of Peñaranda de Duero, and the many routes frecuented by the legendary knight “El Cid” and his troupes, who stopped to rest in the area and drink the water from the Arandilla river…

There is documented evidence of vine cultivation in the area dating back to the Roman occupation and, by the Middle Ages Coruña del Conde had established itself as an important vineyard area.
